Many things continue to happen in the Life of FUMC- Dublin since my last Blog:

Sunday October 29, 2017 was our Fifth Sunday; we sang in lieu of a Sermon.  We invited ALDERSGATE ENRICHMENT CENTER, EARLY, TEXAS to bring their Associates/Choir and lead us in Worship through Songs!   It was a very moving,  wonderful and Blessed Service .  Thank you to all the Associates!

The Dublin Ministerial Alliance again Hosted the "Community Thanksgiving Service" it was held at the First Baptist Church 220 E. Liveoak St., Dublin, Texas on November 19th at 6PM.  Rev. Dr. Cliff Sims, FBC welcomed us; Rev. Ken Lunsford, FUMC brought the opening prayer; Offertory led by Rev. Gerald Freeman, Congregational Methodist; Scripture read by Rev. Dr. Cliff Sims; Message by Rev. Jimmy Holleman, Cowboy Church; and Benediction by Rev. Greg Judy, Community Baptist.  The Offering was divided between Dublin GoodFellows; Dublin Salvation Army; and Dublin Christian Women's Job Corp.  We enjoyed a good message and a lot of good fellowship.  Light refreshments followed the Service.

We have been encouraged by many guests coming regularly and want to welcome you to come and Worship God with us.  It is such a blessing that we receive when we let God take control and lead us in doing His will in our lives and in His church!

The Spirit is alive and well and taking us down some wonderful roads of experiences.

Our church started the “Community Table” several years ago and each “Last Wednesday evening of each Month from 5:00 until 7:00PM” we serve a delicious meal to anyone and everyone.  We welcome all to come and dine with us and share in fellowship.  We also have the privilege to carry meals to the many shut-ins that are in our community and they get to enjoy a delicious meal as well.

We currently have no Bible Study group meeting. I expect us to begin a new study after the Christmas Holidays!.

Our Food Pantry continues to help many families in our area.  Since Snapple pulled the Dr. Pepper franchise from the Dublin Bottling Works our community has struggled to get back up on its feet.  We know every thing will work out for the best in due time, We continue to pray for His presence and guidance for our community!

On our "Donation" page you may give to the "Special" account and note that it is for the Food Pantry, Community Table or  U.M.C.O.R. (United Methodist Committee on Relief) which is helping many in South Texas that were hit by the Hurricane and flooding as well as Louisiana, Florida and the East Coast as well as the Fires in California and elsewhere around the World!

Life and Church is about "relationships" and the "journey" and when we share with each other; we can’t help but grow in our service and understanding as well as our relationship with God!  Please attend a church to grow in your relationship with your neighbors and with Jesus Christ.  Jesus reminded us to, "Love the Lord your God, with all your heart, mind and strength and to Love your neighbor as yourself and He gave us a great commandment that we go forth and make Disciples of all People, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Upon these commandments hangs all the prophets and laws.
You are welcome here at Dublin First United Methodist Church, no matter where you are on your walk with Christ or your station in life.  We believe in the United Methodist Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors!

God Loves Us All!
