BOOM BOXES FOR SHUT-INS
Please come and support your church and welcome each other, as Paul says with a Holy Kiss, or in a special way make everyone feel welcome!
BOOM BOXES FOR SHUT-INS
The Boom Box Ministry is a way to keep our nursing home residents and shut-ins connected to the church. Each recipient of this ministry may be assigned their own boom box or you may use your own so that they can receive copies of the weekly sermon on CD and hear it at their convenience. We also send them the weekly bulletin as they can use this resource along with the sermon to feel that they are still involved in the weekly church services. These people are so thrilled to get a visit from someone and know that they have not been forgotten. We are currently in need of volunteers to visit the shut-ins and deliver their sermon CDs each week. Please prayerfully consider a commitment of offering your time to brighten someone else’s day. If you could volunteer for a week or month or even on a more permanent basis, it would be greatly appreciated. Just contact either Pastor Ken or let us know at the church office and we will set you up. It will bless these people greatly and you will find that it will bless you as well.

COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY
The Community Food Pantry is a ministry of FUMC-Dublin, reaching out to the needy of the community. We have recently seen an increase in the number of families served each month. This important ministry is a vital part of our outreach program. Patrons can receive a generous assortment of dried and canned food items. The pantry is open M-Th, 9-12. Just come to the church office, located at 630 Highland Ave., Dublin, TX. Donations of food items such as rice, dried beans, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, canned fruit, soup, macaroni and cheese are always needed as are monetary donations in order to continue to provide this much-needed service to our community.

COMMUNITY TABLE
The Community Table is another way that FUMC-Dublin has been ministering to the needy in our community. On the last Wednesday of each month we provide a nice meal free of charge, to anyone in the community who would like to attend. This is a way to help those who are finding it hard to stretch the food dollar at the end of the month before that next paycheck. We welcome everyone to come in for food and fellowship from 5:00PM-7:00PM.

CUB SCOUTS
First United Methodist Church of Dublin is a strong supporter of scouts and Scouting, participating in Scout Sunday and being current sponsor of the Dublin Cub Scout Pack 35, a role that the church has been proud to hold for many years. We provide the boys with a place to hold their meetings throughout the school year as well as other areas where we recognize scouting in the community.
