Community Table was Tacos! Join us for food, fun, and fellowship next month on the last Wednesday. This meal is free, we do not “pass the hat” or set out a jar for donations. Members of other denominations or no denomination come by for supper. We do not judge you for the circumstances you may be living in. But all the workers do have a serious job, it is to represent Jesus Christ in the 21st century.
Sunday is fifth Sunday singing and covered dish luncheon. Bring a dish or two of what is in the refrigerator or pantry and we will have a fine meal.

It was wonderful to see Cliff Wooldridge looking well, he and Nancy were in church Sunday and they looked glad, and we were truly glad for them to be there. It has been a long and difficult road back to health for our friend Cliff. Once again prayers were answered.

Pastor Ken Lunsford preached on “Wisdom from Above!”
Life is unpredictable, things happen that are good and bad, life can be unfair. That is why our connection to the Holy Spirit, the living presence of Christ, needs to be maintained every day. We can’t subsist on emergency moments.
James talks about earthly wisdom and wisdom from above. Earthly wisdom inspires envy, ambition, and get ahead at any cost mentality. The wisdom James recommends for us is a heavenly wisdom, one that is focused from a different perspective. James asserts that those with genuine wisdom will be revealed by their good life, by a daily expression of good works and obedience to God, and by an attitude of humility. True wisdom is peace-loving and exhibits a spirit of consideration. We must offer mercy, goodness, impartiality, and sincerity. The “fruits” of these attitudes will be peace and righteousness and a Christian community of faith that is pleasing to God.
