Cliff Wooldridge will have elective surgery this week and we hope he does as well as Nancy has. Cliff has become the chief cook and bottle washer in the Wooldridge household since Nancy returned to the workplace.
I think they could use a casserole or care package of sandwiches while Cliff is “off his feet” for a while.
Nancy says their son’s house in the metro-plex completely lost its roof during last week’s severe storm and there was a lot of rain damage. Everyone is thankful no one was injured in the storm.

Rev. Ken Lunsford’s sermon was based on Philippians 3: 4-14. Paul writes in these verses that “In Christ I have found a righteousness that is not my own and does not come from the Law but rather from the faithfulness of Christ.”
The good news is that God did not send us more rules and regulations, but a Redeemer, God did not send up a statement but a Savior, the good news is that God did not send us a principle, but a person. And that person is Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, Son of God, and friend.
The greatest moment in your life and mine comes when we say from the innermost depths of our being, “Jesus Christ, you are the son of the living God.” When you say that and mean it, you will have found the treasure you have been searching for. You will have found the bridge that will take you safely across every chasm, challenge, and problem of your life.
Jesus is the bridge over all troubled waters.
