The congregation sang “Happy Birthday” to our members with February birthdays last Sunday.  They are Corbin Gordon who celebrated on 2-1 and Jill Moore on 2-11.  Doris Morton will enjoy another birthday on 2-17 and Lee Lusk on 2-18.  Best Wishes to all of you.

JoAnn Herrin was welcomed into our congregation on 2-1.  JoAnn has been visiting us in church and coming to Community Table, so we are happy she has joined us.

Dublin Volunteer of the Year, Michael Haley, made a trip to Atlanta Georgia to visit his mother who was celebrating her 99th birthday!  Good for Michael and great for his mom.

Laura Leatherwood told the children at their lesson time about how Jesus healed the sick.  Laura said Jesus gave the gift of healing to many people, she said Jesus cared a lot about little children also.  Then Laura said “I have an early Valentine gift for you children.”  It was little toy stuffed monkeys and all the children got one.

Mary Haley served as the Worship Leader Sunday, she was “filling in” for her sister Lisa Leatherwood, Lisa has injured her back from stepping off a tractor!

Jo Ann Pate is back in the hospital due to a fall, by the time you read this she should be in Senior Care facility in Stephenville for therapy.  We wish Jo Ann a speedy recovery.

“When Jesus is Present, There is Healing,” was the title of Rev. Ken Lunsford’s sermon.  It was derived from Mark 1: 29-39.

We read in Mark that Jesus, James, and John went from the synagogue to go home with Simon Peter and Andrew.  Immediately Jesus is confronted with the sickness of Peter’s mother-in-law, she has a fever.  He takes her by the hand and helps her up and she is healed!

After sun set all the people in this small town bring their sick and demon possessed to Peter’s door and they are healed.

Early the next morning Jesus rises to pray in a place of solitude, away from the home.  Peter goes searching for Him because more people have come to be healed, but Jesus says they must leave and go somewhere else.  “Let us go to another village so I can preach there also.  That is why I’ve come.”

When everyone is searching for you remember to pray; our Lord needed to and so do you.  Remember that our goal is to win this lost world to Jesus Christ.  It might not be your job to preach because likely your job is elsewhere.  But go where you need to go and do what you can do to work for the Kingdom of God.
