March Women's Night Out
At the Annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade
Our church rode in Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 15, 2014. We
threw candy attached to cards which advertised our free monthly Community
Table.
Parent's Night Out Event
Our church hosted a Parent’s Night Out on Feb. 14, lasting from
6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. We had nine
children attend. The children were fed a
hot dog supper, decorated a cookie for dessert, and played games. Also, popcorn was shown during a movie. Nine adult members helped with the
occasion.
Delivering Valentines to the residents of Golden Age Manor
Our congregation made valentine cards, with candy attached, for
each member of the Golden Age Nursing Home in Dublin. Several of our members visited each of the 36
rooms on Valentine’s Day, handing out the cards. One of our youngest members (4 years old)
gave out as many hugs as he could!

Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Thirteen women (eleven from our congregation and two from Laurel
Street Methodist in Dublin) met during the months of January and February each
Wednesday morning for a bible study. One
of our members, Leta Sage, led the group in the six week study “Stepping Up”,
written by Beth Moore. Meeting in our church,
the group usually had a great turnout (weather permitting). In fact, it went so well that we have decided to continue to meet each Wednesday morning at 10:00 and study other topics.
January Community Table
Our church held its first Community-Wide Supper on January 29,
2014. We served an estimated 65 people
spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and dessert.
Members of our congregation donated the groceries for the event. The meal was prepared by several of our
members, and quite a few members helped throughout the evening. All agreed it was a very successful first
time, and are looking forward to the February Community Supper.
